Moving Forward

If all the guys I loved before came back as better versions of themselves,
I'd tell them "no."
If I could travel back in time and be a different me as well,
I wouldn't go.

I guess I had to make those mistakes with them
because I couldn't give you what I didn't know.
I'd face the same pain again because this high wouldn't feel as good
if I couldn't compare it to my lowest low
And yes, we've agreed that I'm not perfect
but you gotta admit, you've seen me grow.

And even though I sometimes worry about what lies ahead,
I am absolutely sure that I still want to go.
