It is intended to be used on notebooks, and eventually desktop computers as well.
“Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS,”
said Sundar Pichai, vice president of product management, and Linus Upson,
engineering director, in a post on a company blog. “We’re designing the OS
to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the Web in a
few seconds.”
By the end of this year, the software will be availble online, and by fall 2010, notebooks with the software already installed will bei n stores. They say this move will directly challenge Microsoft, but from what I've heard, Microsoft has already one-upped Google with its new "Bing" search engine.
Half the world thinks Google is the most convenient and easy-to-use invention ever...and half the ppl think Google is trying to get all in your business by attempting to be all things to all people every where you may be....I think I'm in the first group.
