After the success of Tyler Perry's "House of Payne" and "Meet the Browns" TV shows, now TBS has struck a deal with Ice Cube to bring "Are We There Yet?" to the small screen.
In a move that proves that, yes, The CW did cancel all of its black programs, Terry Crews (of "Everybody Hates Chris" fame) will play Cube's character from the movie.
"Are We There Yet?" made more than $82 million at the box office, so apparently several stations were actually bidding to pick up the show. BET lost....USA lost...but TBS was like, hey, we got 3,000 Tyler Perry shows on every day all day and yall are watching, so we'll take it!
Here's the article if you want to read for yourself. I didn't see the movie or the sequel, but it looks like today is still a good day for Ice Cube....
